Stamped & Decorative Concrete · Antioch

Stamped & Decorative Concrete for Antioch properties

Antioch homeowners from Antioch Park and Smith Springs Public Use Area to the edge of town call us for stamped patios, walkways and driveways in slate, stone and brick patterns, and every job starts with a free quote.

On the south side of Nashville the lots are established and often sloped, so steps, retaining walls, driveway replacements and drainage do a lot of the work.

A Nashville customer wrote about their stamped patio: “These guys are great. Love my new patio!!”

Stamped & Decorative Concrete around Antioch

We work all over Antioch — near Antioch Park, Smith Springs Public Use Area and Ezell Park and out by Whittemore Branch — and throughout Davidson County.

Antioch is a large southeast Nashville community along I-24 and Murfreesboro Pike. Antioch is about 27 miles northeast of Spring Hill, well inside our 30-mile service area.

Concrete in Middle Tennessee has to handle clay soil that swells when it's wet and shrinks in a dry August, limestone that's often only a few feet down, freeze-thaw winter nights and heavy spring rain. A slab holds up when it sits on a compacted stone base, has steel where it needs it, sheds water away from the house and has joints cut where cracks are meant to go.

How it works

How your Antioch stamped concrete job works

  1. 1

    Free on-site quote

We look at the space, show you pattern and color options, and price it out in writing for free.

  2. 2

    Design and layout

We settle the pattern, colors, borders and joint layout with you and mark the shape on the ground before we dig.

  3. 3

    Pour, color and stamp

We prep the base, pour, add color and stamp the texture at the right moment, which in summer heat means a full crew working fast. Joints get cut as soon as the slab allows.

  4. 4

    Wash and seal

Once the slab has cured enough, we wash off the release color and apply sealer to bring out the color and protect the surface.

Questions

Stamped & Decorative Concrete in Antioch: FAQs

Do you do stamped & decorative concrete in Antioch, TN?

Yes. Antioch is about 27 miles northeast of Spring Hill, well inside our 30-mile service area. We handle stamped patios, walkways and driveways in slate, stone and brick patterns there, and the quote is free.

Do I need a permit for stamped & decorative concrete in Antioch?

It depends on the project. When one is needed, we pull the permit from Davidson County's building services and build to whatever the permit and inspection require.

Will stamped concrete crack?

Any concrete can crack, so we place control joints within the pattern, often along the grout lines where they disappear. A good base and proper drainage keep the slab from moving in the first place. Color that runs all the way through the mix also makes a hairline crack much less noticeable.

Does stamped concrete hold up to Middle Tennessee winters?

Yes, when it is built and sealed right. Freeze-thaw cycles and de-icing salt are hard on any concrete, so we start with a compacted base, slope the slab to drain and seal it so water does not soak in and freeze. Resealing every few years and keeping rock salt off it are the two best things you can do.

Does stamped concrete cost more than plain concrete?

Yes. Stamping takes more labor, color, sealer and a bigger crew on pour day, so it costs more than a broom-finish slab. It usually comes in under laying natural stone or pavers over the same area, and a stamped border around a plain slab gets you much of the look for less. We can price it both ways on your free quote.

How long does a stamped concrete job take?

Most stamped patios and walkways go from dig-out to pour in a few days, and we come back to wash and seal once the slab has cured. In hot, humid summer weather we start pours early in the day because stamped concrete sets fast in the heat. If your HOA has to approve the pattern or color, we help you get that done before the pour date.
