Concrete Resurfacing

Concrete Resurfacing from a crew that shows up

The slab is solid, nothing has sunk and nothing is broken, but it looks rough. Salt has scaled the top of the driveway, the patio is pitted and stained, the pool deck is faded, or the front walk is a patchwork of old repairs. Tearing out concrete that is still structurally sound is expensive and messy. Resurfacing puts a new, bonded layer on top so it looks and wears like new concrete again, often with more color and texture choices than the original ever had.

Every job starts with prep. We grind and pressure-clean the old surface, then repair cracks and spalled spots so they do not show through. Then we trowel, squeegee or spray a polymer-modified cement overlay across the whole area and finish it the way you choose: smooth, broom-finished, a light-colored knockdown texture that is easier on bare feet, or a stamped overlay in a stone or slate pattern. Once it cures, we seal it. Our crew brings twenty-plus years in concrete, serving Spring Hill and every town within 30 miles.

What's included

Our concrete resurfacing services

  • 01

    Driveway resurfacing

Scaled, pitted or salt-damaged driveways get a tough overlay that brings back a clean, even surface without a tear-out.

  • 02

    Patio and porch resurfacing

Worn or stained patios and porches can be redone in a new color and texture, or in a stamped pattern.

  • 03

    Pool deck resurfacing

A textured overlay gives a pool deck better grip under wet feet and a lighter color that stays more comfortable in summer sun.

  • 04

    Stamped and decorative overlays

A thin overlay can be colored and stamped to look like slate, stone or brick over plain gray concrete.

  • 05

    Steps and walkways

Treads, risers and walks are resurfaced to match the rest of the project, with crisp edges at every step.

  • 06

    Prep and crack repair

Grinding, cleaning and crack repair come first on every job, because an overlay is only as good as its bond to the slab underneath.

Questions

Concrete Resurfacing FAQs

Will a resurfaced driveway hold up to Tennessee winters?

Yes, when the prep is right and the slab underneath is sound. Freeze-thaw cycles and de-icing salt are what scale concrete in the first place, so we use a polymer-modified overlay that bonds tightly and seal it to keep water and salt out. Resealing every few years keeps it that way.

Is resurfacing cheaper than new concrete?

Usually, yes, because there is no demolition, haul-off or new base. The price depends on square footage, how much repair the surface needs first and the finish you choose. We give you a free quote after looking at the slab.

Can any concrete be resurfaced?

Only concrete that is structurally sound. If a slab has sunk, heaved or broken into pieces, an overlay will crack right along with it, so lifting or replacement comes first. Surface wear, scaling, stains and small cracks are exactly what resurfacing is for.

How long does concrete resurfacing take?

Most patios, walks and driveways take one to three days, including prep. You can usually walk on the new surface the next day and drive on it after a few days, depending on temperature and humidity. Resurfacing does not normally need a permit.

What is the difference between resurfacing and sealing?

Sealing is a protective coat for concrete that still looks good. Resurfacing is a new cement-based layer for concrete whose surface is already worn or damaged. Most resurfacing jobs finish with a coat of sealer on top.
