Stamped & Decorative Concrete · La Vergne

Stamped & Decorative Concrete for La Vergne properties

La Vergne homeowners from Hurricane Creek Recreation Area and Four Corners Recreation Area to the edge of town call us for stamped patios, walkways and driveways in slate, stone and brick patterns, and every job starts with a free quote.

A lot of the homes here are newer, and many backyards were left as bare clay by the builder, so the work is often a first patio, a driveway extension, steps off the back or a pad for a shed or hot tub. Backfill around newer foundations settles, so compaction under the slab matters.

A Nashville customer wrote about their stamped patio: “These guys are great. Love my new patio!!”

Rutherford County

Stamped & Decorative Concrete around La Vergne

We work all over La Vergne — near Hurricane Creek Recreation Area, Four Corners Recreation Area and Sanford Knob and out by Bryant Creek — and throughout Rutherford County.

La Vergne is a Rutherford County city on I-24, just southeast of Nashville. La Vergne is about 28 miles northeast of Spring Hill, well inside our 30-mile service area.

Concrete in Middle Tennessee has to handle clay soil that swells when it's wet and shrinks in a dry August, limestone that's often only a few feet down, freeze-thaw winter nights and heavy spring rain. A slab holds up when it sits on a compacted stone base, has steel where it needs it, sheds water away from the house and has joints cut where cracks are meant to go.

Questions

Stamped & Decorative Concrete in La Vergne: FAQs

Do you do stamped & decorative concrete in La Vergne, TN?

Yes. La Vergne is about 28 miles northeast of Spring Hill, well inside our 30-mile service area. We handle stamped patios, walkways and driveways in slate, stone and brick patterns there, and the quote is free.

Do I need a permit for stamped & decorative concrete in La Vergne?

It depends on the project. When one is needed, we pull the permit from the City of La Vergne's building department and build to whatever the permit and inspection require.

Does stamped concrete cost more than plain concrete?

Yes. Stamping takes more labor, color, sealer and a bigger crew on pour day, so it costs more than a broom-finish slab. It usually comes in under laying natural stone or pavers over the same area, and a stamped border around a plain slab gets you much of the look for less. We can price it both ways on your free quote.

How long does a stamped concrete job take?

Most stamped patios and walkways go from dig-out to pour in a few days, and we come back to wash and seal once the slab has cured. In hot, humid summer weather we start pours early in the day because stamped concrete sets fast in the heat. If your HOA has to approve the pattern or color, we help you get that done before the pour date.

Can you stamp concrete we already have?

Not by stamping it, since the texture is pressed in while the concrete is fresh. A sound older slab can take a stamped overlay, and a cracked or settled one is better torn out and poured new. We tell you which makes sense after we look at the slab.

Will stamped concrete crack?

Any concrete can crack, so we place control joints within the pattern, often along the grout lines where they disappear. A good base and proper drainage keep the slab from moving in the first place. Color that runs all the way through the mix also makes a hairline crack much less noticeable.
