Concrete Driveways
Concrete Driveways from a crew that shows up
A driveway takes more abuse than anything else outside your house. In Middle Tennessee it sits on clay that swells after a wet spring and shrinks in a dry August, it freezes and thaws over and over through the winter, and it carries delivery trucks, trailers and the cars you park on it every night. Gravel washes into the ditch, old asphalt crumbles at the edges, and a thin slab poured on a poor base cracks and heaves. If you want a driveway you can stop thinking about, the work under the concrete matters as much as the concrete itself.
Our crew has poured concrete across Middle Tennessee for twenty-plus years, and driveways are a big part of what we do. We dig out soft soil, build a compacted stone base, set forms and steel, and pour with a broom finish that grips in the rain. Our job photos show long new driveways running up to brick and vinyl-sided homes, including one that curves across an open field. We are licensed and insured, we handle the permit, the tear-out and the haul-off, and we leave the site clean when the forms come off.

What's included
Our concrete driveways services
- 01
New driveways
Full new driveways for new builds and for homes moving off gravel or asphalt, from a short subdivision drive to a long rural run across acreage.
- 02
Tear-out and replacement
We break out cracked, sunken or crumbling concrete or asphalt, haul it away and pour new concrete on a corrected base.
- 03
Extensions and widening
Extra width for another car, a side parking spot or a turnaround, doweled into your existing slab so the joint stays flush.
- 04
Base and drainage
Soft clay comes out, compacted stone goes in, and we grade the drive so water runs away from the garage and the house.
- 05
Steel, joints and aprons
Rebar or wire where the slab needs it, control joints cut so cracks follow the lines, and a solid apron where the drive meets the street.
- 06
Finish options
A broom finish for traction is our standard. Stamped borders, colored concrete and exposed aggregate are there if you want the drive to match the house.

Questions
Concrete Driveways FAQs
Why do so many driveways crack around Spring Hill and Franklin?
Mostly because of what is under them. Middle Tennessee clay swells when it is wet and shrinks when it dries, and a driveway poured straight on that soil with little or no stone base moves with it. Add winter freeze-thaw cycles and de-icing salt and weak spots open up fast. We dig out soft soil, build a compacted base, slope the slab to drain and cut control joints so the concrete has a planned place to crack.
How much does a new concrete driveway cost?
It comes down to size, how much tear-out and digging the site needs, how far the truck has to reach and the finish you pick. A plain broom-finish drive on an open, level lot costs less than a stamped drive on a slope with an old slab to remove. We measure on site and give you a written quote for free, so you know the number before anything starts.
Do I need a permit, and how long does a driveway take?
Many driveway jobs need one, especially new curb cuts and connections to a city street or county road, and we handle that paperwork with Spring Hill, Franklin, Columbia, Williamson County or Maury County. Once the permit is in hand, the tear-out, base and pour usually take a few working days, plus cure time before you drive on it. Customers mention how responsive we were through the permit and scheduling process.
Should I go with concrete or asphalt?
For most homes here, concrete. It does not soften in July heat or rut under a parked trailer, it needs far less upkeep than asphalt, and it looks clean against brick and siding. Asphalt costs less up front, but a well-built concrete drive usually wins over the life of the house.
Can you pour a long driveway on a rural lot?
Yes. Long driveways across acreage in Maury and Williamson counties are regular work for us, including a drive that curves across a field to the house. We plan truck access, grade the run so rain does not wash across it or pool on it, and place joints so a long drive cracks only where we choose.
