Pickleball & Sport Courts
Pickleball & Sport Courts from a crew that shows up
Pickleball has taken off across Middle Tennessee, and public courts fill up fast in the evenings. More homeowners want a court of their own, whether that is a full pickleball court for the family, a basketball half-court beside the driveway, or a multi-sport slab that does both. HOAs and commercial properties want them too. A court is unforgiving, though: if the slab is not flat, holds water or cracks across the lines, every game shows it. It has to be built like a playing surface, not like a patio.
We build the whole court in-house. That starts with clearing and grading, which matters on rolling Maury and Williamson County lots, then a compacted base, forms, reinforcing steel and a flat, carefully finished slab with an even slope so rain sheets off. After the concrete cures, we apply an acrylic court surface in your colors, paint the lines, and set net posts and basketball goal footings in concrete. Our crew has twenty-plus years pouring big slabs and shop pads, serving Spring Hill and every town within 30 miles.

Questions
Pickleball & Sport Courts FAQs
How do you keep a court from cracking or holding water in Middle Tennessee?
Base and drainage. Clay soil here moves with wet springs and dry summers, so we strip soft soil, build a compacted stone base and reinforce the slab with steel. Every court gets an even slope so heavy rain runs off instead of puddling on the playing surface, and planned joints control where the concrete can crack.
How much does a backyard pickleball court cost?
It depends mostly on the court size, how much grading the site needs and the extras you pick, such as a second set of lines or a basketball goal footing. A flat yard with easy access costs less to build on than a sloped one. We give you a free quote after walking the site.
Do I need a permit, and how long does a court take to build?
Some cities, counties and HOAs require a permit or approval for a large slab, and we handle the permit side for you. Grading, forming and pouring usually take about a week depending on weather. The concrete then cures for about a month before the surfacing, lines and nets go on over a few days.
Why concrete instead of asphalt for a court?
Concrete stays flatter, does not soften in summer heat and lasts longer than asphalt. A well-built concrete court with an acrylic surface plays the same year after year and only needs the coating renewed over time.
How much space does a pickleball court need?
The lines of a regulation court measure 20 by 44 feet, and the recommended playing area is about 30 by 60 feet so players can move around the court. If your yard is tight, we can size the slab down and still lay out regulation lines with a little less room around them.
