Concrete Driveways for Antioch properties

Looking for a concrete driveway contractor in Antioch? Spring Hill Concrete Pro is a licensed and insured crew, and Antioch is part of our regular service area, about 27 miles from Spring Hill. We handle new driveways, tear-outs, extensions and long rural drives.

On the south side of Nashville the lots are established and often sloped, so steps, retaining walls, driveway replacements and drainage do a lot of the work.

A Columbia customer wrote about their concrete driveway, sidewalk and steps: “He was very prompt on giving us an estimate and was there the next day to start the project.”

What's included

Concrete Driveways we do in Antioch

  • 01

    New driveways

Full new driveways for new builds and for homes moving off gravel or asphalt, from a short subdivision drive to a long rural run across acreage.

  • 02

    Tear-out and replacement

We break out cracked, sunken or crumbling concrete or asphalt, haul it away and pour new concrete on a corrected base.

  • 03

    Extensions and widening

Extra width for another car, a side parking spot or a turnaround, doweled into your existing slab so the joint stays flush.

  • 04

    Base and drainage

Soft clay comes out, compacted stone goes in, and we grade the drive so water runs away from the garage and the house.

  • 05

    Steel, joints and aprons

Rebar or wire where the slab needs it, control joints cut so cracks follow the lines, and a solid apron where the drive meets the street.

  • 06

    Finish options

A broom finish for traction is our standard. Stamped borders, colored concrete and exposed aggregate are there if you want the drive to match the house.

Davidson County

Concrete Driveways around Antioch

We work all over Antioch — near Antioch Park, Smith Springs Public Use Area and Ezell Park and out by Whittemore Branch — and throughout Davidson County.

Antioch is a large southeast Nashville community along I-24 and Murfreesboro Pike. Antioch is about 27 miles northeast of Spring Hill, well inside our 30-mile service area.

Concrete in Middle Tennessee has to handle clay soil that swells when it's wet and shrinks in a dry August, limestone that's often only a few feet down, freeze-thaw winter nights and heavy spring rain. A slab holds up when it sits on a compacted stone base, has steel where it needs it, sheds water away from the house and has joints cut where cracks are meant to go.

Questions

Concrete Driveways in Antioch: FAQs

Do you do concrete driveways in Antioch, TN?

Yes. Antioch is about 27 miles northeast of Spring Hill, well inside our 30-mile service area. We handle new driveways, tear-outs, extensions and long rural drives there, and the quote is free.

Do I need a permit for concrete driveways in Antioch?

It depends on the project. When one is needed, we pull the permit from Davidson County's building services and build to whatever the permit and inspection require.

Can you pour a long driveway on a rural lot?

Yes. Long driveways across acreage in Maury and Williamson counties are regular work for us, including a drive that curves across a field to the house. We plan truck access, grade the run so rain does not wash across it or pool on it, and place joints so a long drive cracks only where we choose.

Why do so many driveways crack around Spring Hill and Franklin?

Mostly because of what is under them. Middle Tennessee clay swells when it is wet and shrinks when it dries, and a driveway poured straight on that soil with little or no stone base moves with it. Add winter freeze-thaw cycles and de-icing salt and weak spots open up fast. We dig out soft soil, build a compacted base, slope the slab to drain and cut control joints so the concrete has a planned place to crack.

How much does a new concrete driveway cost?

It comes down to size, how much tear-out and digging the site needs, how far the truck has to reach and the finish you pick. A plain broom-finish drive on an open, level lot costs less than a stamped drive on a slope with an old slab to remove. We measure on site and give you a written quote for free, so you know the number before anything starts.

Do I need a permit, and how long does a driveway take?

Many driveway jobs need one, especially new curb cuts and connections to a city street or county road, and we handle that paperwork with Spring Hill, Franklin, Columbia, Williamson County or Maury County. Once the permit is in hand, the tear-out, base and pour usually take a few working days, plus cure time before you drive on it. Customers mention how responsive we were through the permit and scheduling process.
